Favicon Generator

Create every icon your website needs from one image: a multi-size favicon.ico, PNG favicons, the Apple touch icon and Android / web-app icons — plus the HTML code to paste into your site.

Drop a logo or image here, click to choose, or paste from clipboardPNG, SVG, JPG, WebP and more · a square image with a transparent background works best

Tip: check the 16 px preview — if your logo is hard to read there, try “Crop to square” with less padding, or use just the first letter or symbol of your logo.

Frequently asked questions

Is my logo uploaded to a server?

No. Every icon is created directly in your browser, and the ZIP is built on your device too. Your logo never leaves your computer.

What's in the favicon package?

favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px in one file), favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180 px for iPhone and iPad home screens), android-chrome-192x192.png and android-chrome-512x512.png (Android and installable web apps), and a site.webmanifest file.

How do I add the favicon to my website?

Unzip the files into the root folder of your website (next to index.html), then paste the HTML code shown on this page into the <head> of your pages. WordPress, Shopify, Wix and most site builders also have a “Site icon” setting where you can simply upload the 512 px PNG.

What image works best?

A simple, bold square logo or letter mark. Fine detail and thin text disappear at 16 × 16 pixels. Transparent PNG or SVG files work great; photos are automatically cropped to a square.

Why does the Apple touch icon have a background?

iPhones and iPads show transparent areas of home-screen icons as black, so Imgovo always gives the Apple icon a solid background — your chosen color, or white when the background is transparent.

Can I make an ICO file from a PNG only?

Yes. Click “Download favicon.ico only” to get just the multi-size ICO file.

Can I undo a change?

Yes. Undo and Redo (buttons above the settings, or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z) step back through fit, background, padding, corner radius and the app name.
