Rotate & Flip Image
Fix a sideways photo or mirror it horizontally/vertically. Combine rotation and flipping freely, preview the result live, then download — all without the file ever leaving your device.
Tip: rotation and flipping combine — rotate first, then flip, to fix a photo that's both sideways and mirrored.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Rotating and flipping happens directly in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. The file never leaves your device.
What’s the difference between rotating and flipping?
Rotating turns the whole image around its center (90°, 180°, 270°). Flipping mirrors it — horizontal flip swaps left and right, vertical flip swaps top and bottom.
Why does my photo look sideways only on some devices?
Phones often store photos sideways and add an “orientation” tag telling apps how to turn them. Some older programs and websites ignore that tag. Rotating here and downloading saves the pixels the right way up, so the photo looks correct everywhere.
How do I fix a mirrored selfie?
Upload it and click “Flip horizontal”. Text in the background will read normally again.
Will this reduce image quality?
Rotating by 90° steps and flipping only move pixels to a new place — nothing is resampled or blurred. Saving as PNG is completely lossless; JPG and WebP are re-compressed at high quality (95%), which is practically invisible.
Can I undo a rotation or flip?
Yes. Undo and Redo (buttons above the preview, or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z) go back through every rotation and flip, one step at a time.
